Introduction
Prawns are considered as the best and most healthiest
sea-food as they are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. They also
contain proteins (amino acid) which are the building blocks of muscles.
The best way to prepare king prawns is as follows:
Ingredients
For the sake of perfection, we can prepare this recipe
for 4-6 persons.
I) 18-20 king prawns.
II) 4 tbsps. of
curd.
III) ½ tsp. of
black pepper powder.
IV) 1 chopped red
capsicum.
V) ¾ tsp.
fenugreek seeds powder.
VI) 1 bunch
chopped coriander leaves.
VII) 1 ½ tsp.
ginger paste.
VIII) 10 sliced
almonds.
IX) 2 tbsps. of
oil.
X) 4 sliced
onions.
XI) 1 piece of
cinnamon.
XII) 1 ½ tsp. of
garlic paste.
XIII) 1 ¼ tsp. of
red chilli powder.
XIV) 3 tbsps. of
ghee.
XV) ¼ tsp. of
salt.
Method
1) Mix black
pepper, ginger paste and salt with curd and rub it on prawns and set aside for
an hour.
2) Heat the oil,
fry fenugreek seeds and cinnamon and then onion till golden brown.
3) Add garlic
paste, red chilli powder and chopped capsicum and fry for 3-4 minutes stirring
all the time and remove the heat.
4) Heat ghee in
another pan. Fry the prawns and take them out on a kitchen paper so that excess
ghee is absorbed.
5) Put fried
prawns in onion-mixed spices and again put on heat. Add the remaining curd
mixture and stir for 2-3 minutes.
6) Add chopped coriander leaves and almonds, stir for a minute or two and serve hot.
